Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences
In November 2023, Micah was promoted to Marketing Content Specialist of the College of Computing (GCCIS) at RIT.
The RIT College of Computing is a hub for the unexpected. As I have worked here, I have frequently been surprised by the passionate community, the ever-changing technology field, and myself. In close partnership with the Director of Marketing, I have explored the many aspects of marketing, creative production, and community development. In doing so, I have strengthened my skills in strategic planning, people-focused design, and communication.
My favorite part of this role is creating work that reflects the excitement of the community around me. Every student, faculty, prospective family, or alumni that I get the opportunity to connect with — whether through a printed postcard they received, a research interview I am filming for them, or a quick conversation in the GOL lobby — radiates such an enthusiastic authenticity that really inspires me. I strive to inject this passion into all areas of my work to not only improve it but to build a greater bond with my audiences.

The creation of the Experiential Development & Games Expo
Planning the 2023 Expo was an invigorating experience. I got the opportunity to closely collaborate with RIT faculty, alumni, our community partners, and current students to promote the celebration of our students’ work. Everyone came together for the common goal of student success and we achieved a remarkable event.
